Bexar County Elections Administrator Michele Carew Reports Strong Voter Turnout and Smooth Operations
The Bexar County Elections Department is keeping voters informed with a series of Election Day press conferences aimed at providing real-time updates on turnout and polling activity.
Elections Administrator Michele Carew announced that the department will host briefings at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to share updated turnout numbers and any reports from voting sites across the county. In an earlier 11 a.m. update, Carew said more than 23,000 ballots had already been cast, noting that iPad check-ins have kept lines short and polling places running smoothly.
All Bexar County polling locations remain open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and officials are encouraging voters to head to the polls before closing time. So far, no major issues have been reported, and steady turnout is expected throughout the day.
As the final votes are counted, the Elections Department will continue to share turnout updates and certified results through local media outlets and online. Stay tuned to The San Antonio Observer for full election results and in-depth coverage as they become available.
