Bad Bunny Is a Natural-Born U.S. Citizen from Puerto Rico. How Is That Not All-American?
Aren’t we tired of this delusion already? The hypocrisy that pours out of MAGA and Trump could make your brain pop. There’s no common ground to stand on, just a stew of bigotry, hate, false narratives, and outright lies. Honestly, how do you even begin to reason with people whose version of reality exists in an entirely different dimension? They can’t even grasp that Bad Bunny, the new target they’re vilifying, is an American citizen.
And let’s be real, calling them delusional or hypocritical is the polite way of putting it. In truth, it’s just plain racism and bigotry.
MAGA and Trump’s Immigration Double-Standard
Donald Trump has made a political career out of demonizing immigrants while depending on them for both optics and labor. His hypocrisy is so glaring it could light up the Super Bowl stage MAGA now wants to censor.
When the NFL announced Bad Bunny as the 2026 Super Bowl halftime headliner, conservative outrage flared like clockwork. Petitions called for his removal, Turning Point USA promised a “faith, family, and freedom” counter-show, and right-wing pundits whined that Americans “won’t even understand him.”
Which is curious, considering Melania Trump–the current First Lady—who’s english fluency is more questionable than Bad Bunny’s and rode an EB-1 Einstein visa to citizenship.
Bad Bunny vs. Melania Trump
According to The New York Times, Melania, a model, became a U.S. citizen in 2006 after receiving one of only five EB-1 visas granted to Slovenians in 2001. A category for Nobel laureates, Oscar winners, and people of “extraordinary ability.”
In 2018, she sponsored her parents for citizenship, the very “chain migration” Trump publicly vowed to end. So when Trump rants about merit-based immigration and rails against illegal immigrants, the irony is thick enough to need a Trump Gold Card.
Then there’s Bad Bunny, the supposed threat to the ‘All-American culture’. He’s from Puerto Rico, a U.S. territory. He’s literally a natural-born U.S. citizen. In fact, if we’re keeping score, Bad Bunny is more American than Melania Trump will ever be. He was born a U.S. citizen, while she holds dual citizenship in Slovenia and the United States.
Trump’s Favorite Immigrant
But in Trump’s world, accents and visas only matter when they’re convenient for the narrative or for his pockets. He praises “law and order” while breaking laws, touts merit while abusing privilege, and condemns immigrants while married to one. The only foreign influence left in the room is his own hypocrisy.
Until then, good night and good luck.
