Spurs Fall Short in Portland, Season Nears Bitter End

Well Spurs fans the agony is almost over. What started as a bang has ended with a resounding thud as the door closed on the Spurs’ chances of claiming a playoff play-in tournament berth following Sunday’s road loss to Portland 120-109. 

Both Portland and the Spurs were mathematically alive for a play-in spot going into the game, but were eliminated by Sacramento’s 120-113 victory over Cleveland.

Stephon Castle led the team with 22 points in the loss. 

The team has lost their last two games, and stands at 32-46 with just four games remaining in the 2024-25 season.
